Dustin the Girl Dad

Just want to make sure this important Dad in our lives knows how much he is loved: I can still see the look on Dustin's face as the doctor told him he was having a 3rd girl. An eye roll, then that 'told you so' smile. (let me also add that with the first 2 girls the doctor initially told him he thought it might be a boy...then quickly squashed Dustin's hopes) But at this point in life, I couldn't imagine Dustin without his 3 girls. This guy has gone above and beyond the title Girl Dad. He buttons up princess dresses flawlessly (okay sometimes they're on backwards) Uses his sound system to host living room dance parties...tutus included Plays 'monkeys' over and over He attends tea parties Sings songs with all the wrong words Chases three wild girls all around the kitchen "catch me Daddy" is all you can hear amongst giggles He paints tiny fingernails Makes them brave the Quick Quack Duck Carwash And reads fairy tale books at bedtime. I can tell you right now, years ago this was not exactly how he pictured life: glitter on the furniture and toys strewn about. But what he doesn't know, is he was made for this. And obviously he provides so much for this family... working hours on end saving for their future keeping this ship afloat. but all those little things... those are the most important things. He's taught them to be brave and strong hearted.. and they constantly teach him to appreciate the little moments and love in a whole new way. There's just something special about the bond between a father and daughter. Teaching Mikah to ride her princess bike up and down the sidewalks. Having all the best conversations with Gemma in your very own language. And butting heads with Livia but still getting the sweetest hugs and kisses every night. I consider myself the luckiest of all to see this amazing man become a better Dad daily. So happy Father's Day to the best Dad our little family could ask for.
