To the World, You're a Mother To Your Family, You're the World.

Mother: 

Noun: a woman in relation to her child or children

Verb: bring up with care and affection;

To look after kind and affectionately,  

Sometimes excessively so.

Being a mom now myself, 

I know I want to be so much more than the noun version.

I want TO mother.

Mother is a verb.

It’s something you do.

Not just who you are.

Being a mom is one of the most difficult jobs.

It’s a choice you make every day.

To put someone else’s happiness and well being above your own.

Protecting them from anything and everything.

You are molding these tiny humans with all you do.

And holding your breath, hoping they become decent human beings.

A mother has to teach the hard lessons;

nurture, advise, and forgive.

And love without limits.

It’s not easy.

But motherhood is the most important and rewarding job there is.

My mom is an “above and beyond” kind of mom.

Seriously, she dedicated her life to raising her 3 daughters.

I’ve learned SO MUCH from her.

And continue learning, watching her be Nonnie to my girls.

She’s my role model.

My best friend.

And I can only hope to mother my girls the way she did.

I love that we spend a whole day celebrating the wonderful women who raised us.

There are so many mothers in this world that have influenced me, loved me, and helped me to become the mother I am today.

Both of my grandmothers have shown me immeasurable love.

Aunts, cousins, friends.

All have shown me just how beautiful mothers are to this world.

I hope that every mother out there feels celebrated this Mother’s Day. 

I hope you feel so loved.

So appreciated.

Know that this world just wouldn’t turn the same way without you.
