When Mommy breaks the blender

Ever heard of the story "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie"? well here's a motherhood remake... If Mommy breaks a blender, there is going to be glass ALL over the kitchen floor. When there is glass all over the floor, she is going to try and clean it up As Fast As She Can! When she cleans it as fast as she can, of course she is going to miss some. When she misses even the smallest piece of glass, Poor Livia is going to step on it. (it's always poor middle child Liv) When Livia steps on it, she is obviously going to cry

and leave bloody footprints all across the kitchen floor. When Mikah sees the bloody footprints she will cry too. When Mikah cries, Gemma is going to join in. And let the chaos commence. Seriously this has to be one of my biggest mom fails. I mean is it even possible to clean up all the glass spread into a million pieces across a tile floor? I didn't think so. And of all kids to step on it... Poor Liv just went through a traumatic ordeal last night. She had something stuck in her foot and holding her still to get it out was AWFUL. Tonight was even worse. I mean the kitchen looked like a murder scene. Mikah's face was so sad and terrified.

Holding Livia was like holding a bucking bronco.

I panicked.

I swept Livia up.

Ran her foot under water.

Looked as best I could for any glass left in her foot.

(All the while attempting not to drop my flailing toddler.)

Held a paper towel to her foot.

And ran to the door to get Dustin.

Thank goodness for a calm dad in this situation.

Luckily the cut wasn't nearly as bad as it appeared.

And after some Neosporin and a bandaid,

Liv was smiling and running around the house in no time.

she probably won't be getting a new one for Mother's Day.
